South of Javea up on a plateau on the coast lies Cumbre del Sol, well known to many Norwegians who have bought properties up here. There are many perceptions about Cumbre del Sol, our impression is that those who live here thrive, but there is weak infrastructure and you depend on the car. Many also believe that this area should never have been developed and that it should have been preserved as a nature reserve. Those who live here are more likely to see the advantage of living in a place that should have been a natural park, surrounded by beautiful nature and fantastic (albeit challenging) hiking terrain. Nearest towns are Javea in the north and Moraira in the south, while Benitachell is not only the municipal center but also the most natural place for services and shops.
