Benissa is a small / medium-sized Spanish village that is located in the countryside between Calpe and Moraira. The N332 (the old coastal road) crosses the city and the city is therefore a traffic as well as a commercial hub. Around Benissa there are several small and pleasant villages, and Benimarco and Pedramala are probably the most interesting for people looking for a dream place to settle down. In both places there are great properties in top location and usually great views, and there are several pleasant restaurants in the local area. For example, Restaurante Canis in Benimarco is widely known and people come from afar to enjoy one of the coast's best paella's combined with an unbeatable view of Calpe and Peñon de Ifach. The fact that the restaurant has a somewhat "original" interior ("hippie-like") makes the place even more attractive. Both Benimarco and Pedramala are a bit off the coast, which is not to be despised on hot summer days or damp winter evenings.
