Els Poblets is a village with both a Spanish and international environment, situated approx. 10km north of Denia. The town and its near surroundings is in high demand by most Europeans, and for prices which are hard to beat. A property viewing in Els Poblets it highly recommended. One of the biggest advantages with Els Poblets is its close proximity to the beach, which streches 24km north from Denia. Due to this location, the area (also called Las Marinas) tend to die out during the winter and there are few permanent residents in the area. However, at the summer it comes alive again, and during the "season" maybe even a bit too much. By contrast, when you arrive in Els Poblets (and the neighbouring town of El Verger- the two have more or less merged together) we talk about a village/smaller Spanish town that lives all year round and it is mostly inhabited by permanent residents, and offers a wide variety of amenities such as; shops, restaurants, sports facilities and other services. Similar to the other areas, this place also offer expensive properties, but the area is mainly populated by smaller villas, townhouses and some apartments on smaller plots compared to Denia and other surrounding cities. Els Poblets lies in the Valencia-region (Costa Blanca) in between Valencia and Alicante. Els Poblets is not an old city compared with many other cities and villages in the area. Even though it has not had city status for a long time (1971), its history goes a long way, as many of the other places on Costa Blanca back to the moors from the 9th to the 17th century, and Els Poblets originated as a merger between two earlier cities and contains a couple milestones and buildings from this period. The city also have a number of fiestas to celebrate and recreate this period.

Els Poblets and Denia is situated approximately halfway in between Alicante (city) and Valencia, which both have their own international airport with direct routes to all major European cities- roughly one hour's drive from each city on the AP7 motorway. Els Poblets lies in the north end of Costa Blanca which characterises by a beautiful, fertile and a diverse nature with rugged terrain and significantly less developments than other places on the Costa Blanca.
