Pedreguer
Pedreguer is a typical Spanish village situated to the North of the Province of Alicante and located close to the Muntanya Gran Mountain (Big Mountain) with abundant irrigated areas.

The village of Pedreguer (which is close to the city of Denia) has retained its traditional culture and you will find that you are able to eat well and inexpensively in the many bars and restaurants.

Denia
Denia is originally (and still is) a harbour town, shipping port (for oranges, citrus and other agricultural commodities) and is a natural centre for all the related and other business conducted in this area. But first and foremost, Denia is known as a fishing port, which has been its status for generations. Many places along the coast attempt to retain this image of a " Charming fishing village with good restaurants who only use fresh ingredients"- Denia certainly lives up to this description, and this cannot be said of all the other cities in the area. The city receives fresh fish from the Mediterranean every day, and the first class restaurants along the harbour and the beach promenade get their fresh seafood from the daily fishing auction. Denia´s 300 restaurants base their dishes on the best the sea has to offer, combined with agricultural products from the Valencia region, and the result is famous well beyond Denia´s city limits. The best known dishes are probably the famous "Denia red prawn" and a rice dish without comparisons; " arroz a banda". Apart from that, you will find a number of other dishes such as; grilled vegetables, large selection of fish, squid and shellfish. Denia is without doubt seen to be a culinary highlight.

Javea
Xabia is the city´s local name in the local language (Valencian), while Javea is the Spanish/International one. Javea is one of the greatest cities on Costa Blanca. It is a medium sized city with appprox. 30,000 inhabitants and the surrounding area is large. The city has plenty of activities on offer- including sailing, horse riding, swimming and scuba diving. Javea is a popular place to settle down for foreigners as well as Spaniards from elsewhere in Spain. Some of the main reasons for this is the good climate and the friendly/including local people- but mile long beaches, the port and beach promenade, the well reserved old town and the many astonishing fiestas and celebrations all year round surely contribute. Javea has strict restrictions on new builds and architecture. For example, the property developers in the area face height limitations on the houses they build in order to preserve the city´s unique character. The old town in Javea and the beautiful harbour counts for an important part of this city´s character. The narrow cobbled streets has many modern shops, but at the same time it manages to maintain the old feel. The old town also has a number of excellent restaurants, street cafe´s and bars. Modern contributions in form of galleries, internet cafe´s, modern stores also exist in a traditional setting. Very charming!
